FAQ

  • How do I become a member of the MOMS Club of Highlands Ranch?
You can email us at whrmomsclub@gmail.com and we will provide you with all the information you'll need to become a member of our chapter.
  • How much are my dues and what are they used for?
We are a non-profit organization, so your dues are what keep us running. Our dues are $23 annually and they cover fees to the International MOMS Club, room rentals, postage, party expenses, service projects, and various other administrative costs. Our budget is voted on annually and any change to the budget is voted on by our members. We understand that a woman staying home raising her children involves a great financial sacrifice, so if the dues are a hardship to your family, please let us know.
  • Can I attend any of your events before I join to make sure it's a good fit for me?
Yes! You are invited to attend any public new member trial event to see if our group would be a good fit. These events are held once per month at a local park in Highlands Ranch. After you attend a trial event, we will reach out to see if you are interested in joining. Check out our Instagram page to view upcoming trial member events.
  • What kind of activities does your club offer?
We have many different kinds of activities available for members to get involved in. After joining the club you will have access to our actual calendar on our Facebook page, but you can see what a typical month looks like for us on our sample calendar. Playgroups - We offer several different playgroups each week for moms to socialize in smaller groups and kids to play together. We typically meet at a park or rec center, and in the summer we usually offer playgroups that meet at pools and splash pads too. Monthly Social - Once a month we have a meeting that we encourage everyone to attend. It's like a large playgroup where everyone brings a small snack to share. We typically cover a small amount of MOMS Club business and then socialize while kids play or do a holiday related activity such as a Halloween parade or Easter Egg hunt. Field Trips - We have a field trip once a month. We have done many different kind of field trips such as a trip to the pumpkin patch, aquarium, and zoo. Moms' Night Out - Once a month we have a night for just the moms to get together. We typically do dinner together at a local restaurant, or go to the movies, but we've also had game nights, team trivia, and painting nights. Book Club - Once every 2 months, our book club meets to discuss a book chosen by the members of the group. Service Projects - Each year we do one major service project and several smaller service projects. Some of projects have included NICU care packages, donation to local law enforcement, donations for the diaper bank in Houston, canned food drives, and beach cleanups. Helping Hands - Although this isn't technically an activity, our club does have a coordinated support system that offers a few meals when you have a new baby, have had surgery, have lost a family member, or just need the assistance. You can even join the club at the end of your pregnancy to take advantage of the meals after you have your first baby!
  • How does your chapter communicate with its members?
Our chapter has three main ways that we communicate about things that are going on in the area and upcoming chapter events. Facebook Group Page - We use our Facebook group page to maintain our club's calendar, invite each other to informal activities, ask questions, and offer and get advice. Email - If we need to send out official correspondence, we will send it directly to your email.
  • Can my children attend all MOMS Club activities?
Children are welcome and encouraged at all of our activities except for Moms' Night Out, New Member Social, and Book Club. These adult-only events are for the moms to relax and enjoy each other's company without the kids.
  • What kind of volunteer opportunities exist in your club?
We have many different volunteer positions in our chapter. The Executive Board is voted on annually in June and consists of a President, Administrative Vice President, Membership Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. We also have volunteer coordinators for the Book Club, Moms' Night Out, Helping Hands Volunteer, and each playgroups. As soon as you are a member, you are eligible to volunteer for a coordinator position or run for Executive Board. We love when new members get involved!
  • What are the boundaries of this chapter?
